A Chemical Peel is an exfoliation treatment that uses a chemical solution to improve the skin’s appearance by peeling away the skin’s top layer. Chemical peels are the most popular nonsurgical skin resurfacing techniques performed in the United States, due to their ability to provide drastic skin improvement with a low risk of side effects. We offer a variety of chemical peels, based on your skin’s needs and your lifestyle.
The Glyoclic and Skin Medica peels are considered as “no downtime” peels. We categorize them as Level 1, 1.5, 2, and 3.
Level 1 – 70% Glycolic Peel $125
Level 1.5 – Illuminize Peel $150
The Level 1 Peel is by Vivite® and is a very well-tolerated 70% Glycolic Acid Peel and the Level 1.5 Peel is the Illuminize Peel by SkinMedica. These two peels provide a gentle exfoliation suitable for mild acne or mild pigmentation. We refer to them as the “party prep peels” because of their ability to brighten and tone the skin, without any downtime. As more shallow depth peels that are only providing a surface exfoliation but will still treat mild acne, fine lines, overall tone and texture and general brightening. They are also the best option for first-time chemical peel patients.
Level 2 – Vitalize Peel® $175
The Vitalize Peel® by SkinMedicais most suitable for treating the effects of aging, melasma (also known as pregnancy mask), sun damage, brown spots, or acne-prone skin. It is a bit more intensive peel for those who want something a step above the level 1 or 1.5. This peel penetrates slightly deeper than the superficial layers, in turn loosening dead skin cells that will shed and make the skin visibly peel for approximately 3-7 days.
Level 3 – Rejuvenize Peel® $200
The Rejuvenize Peel® by SkinMedica is their medium depth peel that is quite similar to the Vitalize Peel® but a bit stronger. This peel is formulated for a skin with a substantial amount of sun damage and/or melasma, acne scarring, deeper set lines and larger pores. Following the procedure, the skin will peel for approximately 5-7 days. Typically, a series of 5-7 treatments are needed to see long-term results.
